Monday, March 13
: Philadelphia Flower Show
with lunch on your own. The Philadelphia Flower Show was founded in 1829 by the Philadelphia Horticultural Society and has grown into the largest indoor flower show in the world. It has been named the best event in the world by the International Festivals and Events Association. This year’s show will feature windmills, wooden shoes, cheese, bicycles and the vibrant tulips and flower fields as it celebrates the wonders of Holland. This event is special for so many reasons and number one on the list is that it takes place at a time of year when we crave color and beauty as winter draws to a close.
Tuesday, May 23
: Ladew Topiary Garden. We’ll tour the Manor House, walk the Gardens, visit the Butterfly House and enjoy a lovely lunch.
Wednesday, June 21
: the Baltimore Museum of Art, Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens. We’ll check out the current exhibits at the Museum of Art, followed by lunch and then move on to the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens of Baltimore, a historic conservatory and botanical garden located in Druid Hill Park
